At HRB Retirement we have a passion for educating participants on how to successfully plan for retirement. In order to achieve that, we help participants lay the foundation for success by providing a comprehensive participant education program.
We provide group meetings as well as 1 on 1 guidance and advice. Our consultants are bilingual at HRB and are able to assist Spanish speaking employees at the same level as the English speaking ones.
We help create a process for our clients to manage their responsibilities as a Fiduciary and we share in Co-Fiduciary responsibilities as a 321.
We will work with the Employer to determine the objectives of the plan and the participants and make recommendations for the Selection and ongoing Monitoring of the investment options made available to the participants.
Service Provider Benchmarking & RFP
The process for monitoring service providers can be overwhelming for even the most diligent employers. As an independent advisory firm we are able to survey the market place and provide analytics on service providers to help Employers determine who is best suited for their plan. Understanding plan fees and continually monitoring those fees is a Fiduciary requirement. Having the lowest fees is not. It is important to evaluate the value, tools and services offered by the provider when determining which provider to select.
Plan Design Consulting
Creating a custom plan design that meets the needs of clients is critical to a healthy plan. Much like an architect or designer would design a space, we will evaluate the objectives of the Employer and revisit those goals and objectives over time. This includes evaluation of adding on ancillary plans like Defined Benefit and Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation Plans.
Fee Based Financial Planning
Val Ortega is primarily a fee-based Investment Advisor Representative with Kovack Advisors, Inc. an SEC Registered Investment Advisor. Kovack is one of the largest independent investment advisory and broker/dealer firms in the country. She helps clients understand their goals and provides clear and honest advice. She takes time to thoroughly understand the client’s current situation along with their long and short term goals.
